Access to furniture assistance from The Mustard Seed requires clients to obtain a referral from one of the organization’s esteemed partner agencies. This collaborative approach ensures that assistance is directed to those who truly need it, with referring agencies conducting thorough home visits to assess the specific needs of each client before making a referral to The Mustard Seed.

In order to receive furniture assistance, clients are required to pay a nominal $200 processing fee. Additionally, they must arrange transportation to facilitate the transportation of the furniture to their residence. While this requirement may present a logistical challenge for some, it ensures that clients are invested in the process and actively participating in rebuilding their lives.

It’s noteworthy that clients are eligible to receive assistance from The Mustard Seed’s Furniture Bank only once, except in cases where they have experienced a natural disaster such as a fire or flood.
