MISSION OF DEEDS

Mission of Deeds stands as a beacon of hope, a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization committed to providing essential support to individuals and families in need, particularly those transitioning out of homelessness. Here's a closer look at their mission and the vital services they provide:

Mission and Services: Mission of Deeds generously offers new beds and gently used donated furniture, kitchen items, and basic household goods free of charge to individuals and families embarking on a journey towards stability. Their compassionate assistance serves communities in Middlesex and Essex Counties in Massachusetts, as well as Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop in Suffolk County.

Operating solely on private donations and volunteer support, Mission of Deeds operates independently, without relying on government grants or United Way funding. Since its inception, the organization has made a profound impact, providing over 27,000 beds and furnishing more than 16,000 homes, transforming lives and fostering dignity along the way.

In addition to their core services, Mission of Deeds offers supplementary programs such as winter coats, food gift cards, and children's books, further enriching the lives of those they serve.

History and Operations: Founded in 1993 by Tony Triglione, Mission of Deeds draws inspiration from a similar organization in Brockton, MA. Beginning humbly with a donated truck and space in one of Triglione's store buildings, the organization has since evolved into a cornerstone of the community.

Today, Mission of Deeds operates from a renovated facility in Reading, MA, with a small, mostly part-time staff. Upholding principles of respect, transparency, and "neighbors helping neighbors," the organization remains deeply committed to its mission of transforming lives and building brighter futures.

For over 30 years, Mission of Deeds has been a steadfast presence, providing essential household items and unwavering support to those in need. Through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of the community, they continue to uplift and empower individuals and families, embodying the spirit of compassion and solidarity.
