Community Initiative Services Inc.

Community Initiative Services (CIS) is a New Jersey–based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families, supporting youth, and restoring dignity through community‑centered care. We provide essential resources, including food, household goods, and emergency support, to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Our work is rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and a commitment to uplifting underserved communities.

As we expand our Community Operations & Nutrition Hub, CIS is developing programs that include household essentials distribution, youth mental‑wellness support, educational enrichment, and family stabilization services. We believe that access to safe, functional furniture and home goods is a critical part of restoring stability, comfort, and dignity for families rebuilding their lives.

CIS is a BIPOC‑led organization deeply connected to the communities we serve. We welcome partnerships that help us provide furniture, household items, and other essential resources to families in need across the region.
